Medical Paging Systems
Mobile/cellular phones are not utilized in hospitals due to conflicts that it may have with the equipments to save and monitor patient’s lives. A medical paging systems, such as a two way paging system is what most hospitals and nursing homes use. It not only allows for the communication between clinicians but the communication between the clinician and the patient and the other hospital staff. pregnant women know how important that is. I remember when I was giving birth to my son, the hospital was able to reach my doctor via the paging system as to my arrival. Had the system not been in place, there would not have been any way for him to be made aware since he was already in the hospital delivering another child.
