ATM Machines - How Safe Are They?
There are people out there who do nothing more than stand around bank machines. Identity theft protection services say that all you do is walk up, put your card into the machine, enter your pin and access funds. You pull out $20 which leaves you with a balance of a few thousand dollars. You go to the bank machine a few days later to pull out another $20, and your account says it has insufficient funds. How can that happen? That guy that was standing by the machine when you used it probably used his cell phone to record a copy of your card, your pin as you entered it and your balance off your receipt. He paid someone to make him a card and accessed your funds. Yes, it is that simple. Do not use these machines if someone is around.
