A Background Check Finds a Black Widow
Recently I saw a fascinating story about a real-life “Black Widow”, with a history that included three dead husbands.
It seems that, shortly after marrying wealthy, older husband number three, problems started when her husband realized she was spending huge amounts of money.
They fought and he threatened divorce. Not long after that the husband died suddenly in his sleep.
Although she had an alibi, a background check not only showed that she’d been widowed twice before, but arrest records were also found.
Considering her history, it only took some good detective work and a determined attorney and she was found guilty of murder.
Her career as a “Black Widow” was finally ended.
