Fundamentalist Theology

In his or her study of the stock and commodity markets, the fundamental analyst will assemble and study all of the component factors which will enable him to come to a conclusion about the next direction of the market.  If he is studying the Crude Oil market, for instance, he will make a deep study of worldwide supply and demand, oil fields just having been discovered or now coming on stream, the state of the economies of the major consuming nations, and authoritative projections of distillate use in the future.  Obviously this is a very time-consuming and rigorous approach, and involves a myriad of factors.  On the other hand, technical analysis does not take into consideration the deeper pieces of evidence upon which the fundamentalist relies.  Rather, the technical analyst will place great emphasis on charts and indicators as a shorthand form of fundamental analysis, and is able to come to his conclusions much more quickly.
