Managing Debt Makes Life Easier
I used to have the mistaken idea that credit cards make life easier. That’s only true if you use them like cash. Running up high credit card balances and paying monthly payments is like a jail sentence that shackles you to debt.
What actually makes like easier is being debt free and I learned this when I got some excellent debt advice from a friend who is a debt management counselor. She told me to pay off my credit cards before I did one other thing.
Once I learned how much I was actually paying the credit card companies in interest, I got a part-time second job, paid off my credit cards, and now use them like cash, buying only what I can afford. It just makes sense.
