Is a Georgia LLC Better for Small Business over a Corporation

In Georgia, there are 3 basic choices for what entity to use to start a Georgia business: the corporation, LLC and sole proprietorship. Georgia has a corporation statute and a separate Georgia LLC Act.  The biggest difference is that the Georgia LLC was designed for the small business owner.  It is simple to operate and maintain and provides a lot of flexibility when it comes not only operations but also structuring ownership of a business.  A Georgia LLC can be formed quickly but make sure are meeting all the requirements and doing it properly because you run the risk of losing out on LLC benefits if you miss something.
