Ridiculous Credit Crunch Quotes
I was absolutely dreading the renewal of my car insurance this year, and that dread wasn’t unwarranted. What, with the credit crunch, all that doom and gloom about the economy, and the fear of businesses going bust, I too wasn’t surprised to find that some of the quotes I was being offered were utterly ludicrous; predictably, some insurance companies are trying to keep themselves out of liquidation, and by charging outrageous amounts of money they may temporarily keep the bailiffs at bay.But seriously, some of the quotes were just plain silly! I hope these companies will realise that they need the customers and the ridiculous premiums being offered will be sending them in to receivership faster than it takes to hit a lamppost. Anyway, in the end I managed to get a reasonable quote, which included all the benefits and specifications that I needed for my insurance policy, such as the free breakdown cover and monthly payment scheme. Now I don’t have to worry about where to find a lump sum of money for a one-off payment plus what I would’ve had to pay for breakdown recovery if I’d have bought it separately.
