The best gift ideas that I have seen for weddings have been personalized gifts. At the end of the day, or in this case, at the end of the wedding day, it did not really matter the gift that was given but just that it was personal.
My husband and I still have a wedding gift from a ceremony we were in 23 years ago. We do not keep in contact with the couple anymore but the personalized glasses that were made for us are keepers.
